FiveM Smart Car System (Self-Driving, Sensors, Reverse Camera etc.)

Hi Everyone,
I hope you’re doing well. Today we will take a look at the smart car system. This system includes lot of nice features. Such like self-drive, reverse camera and sensor, collision avoidance, High beam control, Drivemode selector.

You can switch between sport and normal drivemode. Default Button F2.

To use autopilot you need to set a waypoing (close the map) and click F1 (per default). You will hear a sound that means that self-drive has taken over.

You can adjust vehicle speed with NUM+ and NUM- so that autopilot will drive faster or slower. I have klicked NUM- and NUM+ multiple times to achive min and then max speed limit of the self-drive.

High beam system. Automatic switching between low beam and high beam.

Colission avoidance system. You can press W as hard as you want vehicle just slows down or stop if there is another vehicle in front of you.

config.lua
Here you can:

  • enable/disable features separately form each other
  • adjust buttons
  • set vehicle models where smart system should work
  • self-drive min/max speed
  • sound volume

client.lua
Here you can:

  • set some basic parameters (e.g. sound delays, default self-drive speed and other)
  • adjust detailed parameters for sensor, camera, etc.
  • set parameters for drivemodes (boosts)
  • adjust notifications
  • and a lot of other stuff if you know what you are doing. 😉

You need to install InteractSound to hear script sounds. After you have installed it put .ogg files from the sounds.rar file in InteractSound/client/html/sounds

As a last step you need to adjust InteractSound __resource.lua file and add links to the files array.

Download InteractSound and horizon_autodrive resource
Put InteractSound and horizon_autodrive into your resources folder
Put sounds from sounds.rar into InteractSound/cleint/html/sounds and adjust InteractSound __resource.lua
Add start InteractSound and start horizon_autodrive to your server.cfg
(re)start your server
